What to Do If You're Being Cyber Stalked
If you didn't read her article on how to avoid being cyber stalked and now it's too late, Mrs. Stun Gun has a few recommendations for you if you are the victim of harassment or cyber stalking.
1. Save all evidence. You will need this to submit to the police.
2. File a report with police and soon as the harassment begins.
3. Report the incident to your internet service provider. They can track down his IP number which can reveal the stalker's location.
4. Purchase a personal protection device such as a TASER® or stun gun. This will help you if the stalker has left the cyber realm and is ready to get personal.
5. File a report with the appropriate ISP channel such as abuse@yahoo.com
6. Change your screen name.
7. Change your passwords.
The laws of cyber stalking are different from state to state and country to country. If you believe that you are a victim of stalking, contact police.
